From vision to reality: how WirelessCar drives its total talent journey

As a global leader in connected vehicle services, WirelessCar operates in more than 100 markets and employs 750 people. For Anna, who has an 18-year background in tech talent management, the goal is simple: to match the right person with the right context to create value.

Building a Total Talent Strategy that scales

The company’s rapid growth forced WirelessCar to rethink its approach to sourcing and managing talent. In 2023, the HR and consultant procurement departments merged – a crucial step toward a more unified talent strategy. “We wanted a holistic view on competences,” Anna explains. “We also built close collaboration with finance and management. This structure gives us flexibility in how we engage people and prepares us to act quickly in a fast-changing industry.”

To achieve this, WirelessCar partnered with Ework Group, a leading total talent solutions provider. “From my perspective, Ework Group is a partner, not just a supplier”, Anna says. “Their umbrella model for consultant procurement and contracts creates huge cost savings and enables us to scale fast. We grow together, based on our competences and company culture.”

Rickard Hansson, Client Developer at Ework Group, agrees: “WirelessCar is very agile. The communication between us is open and positive – we challenge each other to innovate.”

Measuring the impact of collaboration

The partnership’s impact goes far beyond efficiency. WirelessCar now saves significant time for line managers when evaluating and engaging new talent. “We attract people who want to stay long term and become part of our culture”, says Anna. “Our attractiveness as an employer has grown a lot since working with Ework Group. They know us well, so we focus on the right candidates – motivated and innovative people who fit our company.”

According to Dennis Van de Vijver, Business Development Manager at Ework Group, this kind of synergy reflects a broader evolution in workforce management. “There’s much more maturity now. HR and procurement are coming together”, he notes. “Our mission is to help clients reach that joint approach and make sure they have the right talent, whatever the contract form.”

Embracing the future of work

Looking ahead, both companies are exploring how AI and reskilling will redefine workforce dynamics. “People shouldn’t be afraid of AI – it should be seen as an advantage”, says Linnea Börjesson, Implementation Project Manager at Ework Group. “We work with clients to identify existing skills and explore how AI can complement them.”

Anna echoes that forward-looking mindset: “In the tech industry, it’s always about being innovative and competitive. We’re preparing for new competences to emerge and helping people grow within our teams.”
